Definition: Any type of abortion, induced or spontaneous, that is associated with infection of the UTERUS and its appendages. It is characterized by FEVER, uterine tenderness, and foul discharge.  /vet permitted only if discussed as "septic" abortion: do not use automatically for animal abortion in brucellosis, vibriosis, trichomoniasis, etc; check the tags FEMALE & PREGNANCY    Other names Abortions, Septic; Septic Abortions; Septic Abortion
