Definition: Substances that cause the adherence of two surfaces. They include glues (properly collagen-derived adhesives), mucilages, sticky pastes, gums, resins, or latex.  D25-26 qualif; coord IM with DENTURE RETENTION (IM) for denture adhesives; spray adhesives: coord IM with AEROSOLS (NIM) if pertinent; available also are BONE CEMENTS & DENTAL CEMENTS
