Cerulenin

Definition: An epoxydodecadienamide isolated from several species, including ACREMONIUM, Acrocylindrum, and Helicoceras. It inhibits the biosynthesis of several lipids by interfering with enzyme function.  do not confuse with CERULEIN see CAERULEIN
