Hemoglobin H

Definition: An abnormal hemoglobin composed of four beta chains. It is caused by the reduced synthesis of the alpha chain. This abnormality results in ALPHA-THALASSEMIA.  /urine: coord IM with HEMOGLOBINURIA (IM); DF: HBH
