Meckel Diverticulum

Definition: A congenital abnormality characterized by the outpouching or sac formation in the ILEUM. It is a remnant of the embryonic YOLK SAC in which the VITELLINE DUCT failed to close.  Meckel's diverticulitis: coord IM with DIVERTICULITIS (IM)
