Parasympatholytics

Definition: Agents that inhibit the actions of the parasympathetic nervous system. The major group of drugs used therapeutically for this purpose is the MUSCARINIC ANTAGONISTS.  note entry term PARASYMPATHOLYTIC EFFECT: use only for the parasympatholyic effect of a chemical substance
