Snake Venoms

Definition: Solutions or mixtures of toxic and nontoxic substances elaborated by snake (Ophidia) salivary glands for the purpose of killing prey or disabling predators and delivered by grooved or hollow fangs. They usually contain enzymes, toxins, and other factors.  GEN or unspecified only: prefer the many specifics: common & scientific names of venomous snakes to identify specific SNAKE VENOMS term: TN 241; coord IM with specific available snake family or genus (IM); /antag permitted but consider also ANTIVENINS; /
