Definition: The care of women and a fetus or newborn given before, during, and after delivery from the 28th week of gestation through the 7th day after delivery.  from 28th wk of pregn through 7 days after birth; care of fetus & neonate: differentiate from PRENATAL CARE & POSTNATAL CARE which are care of the mother; check the tags FEMALE & PREGNANCY & INFANT, NEWBORN if relevant
