Enterobacter aerogenes

Definition: Gram-negative, capsulated, gas-producing rods found widely in nature. Both motile and non-motile strains exist. The species is closely related to KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE and is frequently associated with nosocomial infections  infection: coord IM with ENTEROBACTERIACEAE INFECTIONS (IM)
