Definition: A genus in the family CALICIVIRIDAE, associated with epidemic GASTROENTERITIS in humans. The type species, NORWALK VIRUS, contains multiple strains.  infection: coord IM with CALICIVIRIDAE INFECTIONS + probably GASTROENTERITIS (IM)
