Definition: Cytochromes of the b group that have alpha-band absorption of 563-564 nm. They occur as subunits in MITOCHONDRIAL ELECTRON TRANSPORT COMPLEX III.  do not confuse with CYTOCHROME B GROUP    Other names Apocytochrome b; Cytochrome b
