Norepinephrine Plasma Membrane Transport Proteins

More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: Sodium chloride-dependent neurotransmitter symporters located primarily on the PLASMA MEMBRANE of noradrenergic neurons. They remove NOREPINEPHRINE from the EXTRACELLULAR SPACE by high affinity reuptake into PRESYNAPTIC TERMINALS. It regulates signal amplitude and duration at noradrenergic synapses and is the target of ADRENERGIC UPTAKE INHIBITORS.      Other names Transporters, Noradrenaline-Specific Neurotransmit; Transporter, Norepinephrine; Transporter, Noradrenaline; Transporter Protein, Norepinephrine; Sodium Dependent Noradrenaline Transporter; Noradrenaline-Specific Neurotransmitter Transporte; Noradrenaline Transporter, Sodium-Dependent; Neurotransmitter Transporters, Noradrenaline Speci; Neuronal NET Protein; Sodium-Dependent Noradrenaline Transporter; Norepinephrine Transporter Protein; Norepinephrine Transporter; Noradrenaline Transporter; Noradrenaline Plasma Membrane Transport Proteins; NET Protein, Neuronal; Norepinephrine Plasma Membrane Transporters; Norepinephrine Plasma Membrane Transporter Protein; Neurotransmitter Transporters, Noradrenaline-Speci
