Definition: A transmembrane protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor superfamily that specifically binds to CD27 ANTIGEN. It is found on activated T-LYMPHOCYTES; B-LYMPHOCYTES; and DENDRITIC CELLS where it plays a role in stimulating the proliferation of CD4-POSITIVE T-LYMPHOCYTES and CD8-POSITIVE T-LYMPHOCYTES.      Other names Ligand, CD27; Antigen, CD70; TNF Superfamily, Member 7; CD70 Antigen; CD27L Protein; CD27 Ligand; Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 7; CD70 Antigens
