More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: A cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase subfamily that is highly specific for CYCLIC GMP. It is found predominantly in vascular tissue and plays an important role in regulating VASCULAR SMOOTH MUSCLE contraction.      Other names Phosphodiesterases, PDE5; cGMP-Binding, cGMP-Specific 3',5'-cyclic Nucleotid; Phosphodiesterase-5; Phosphodiesterase V; Phosphodiesterase 5; PDE5 Phosphodiesterases
