Definition: The field concerned with the interrelationship between the brain, behavior and the immune system. Neuropsychologic, neuroanatomic and psychosocial studies have demonstrated their role in accentuating or diminishing immune/allergic responses.  SPEC: IM; SPEC qualif; relation of brain, behavior & immune system; prefer specific terms with /physiol or /immunol; avoid as NIM coord & use no qualif; DF: PSYCHONEUROIMMUNOL
