Definition: A genus of trematode flukes belonging to the family Schistosomatidae. There are over a dozen species. These parasites are found in man and other mammals. Snails are the intermediate hosts.  GEN or unspecified; prefer specifics; /drug eff: consider also SCHISTOSOMICIDES; infection
