Radionuclide Ventriculography

Definition: Imaging of a ventricle of the heart after the injection of a radioactive contrast medium. The technique is less invasive than cardiac catheterization and is used to assess ventricular function.  "ventriculo-" refers to the heart, not the cerebral ventricles; NIM; /drug eff /rad eff permitted; do not use /util except by MeSH definition; DF: RADIONUCLIDE VENTRICULOGR
