Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay

More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: Fluoroimmunoassay where detection of the hapten-antibody reaction is based on measurement of the increased polarization of fluorescence-labeled hapten when it is combined with antibody. The assay is very useful for the measurement of small haptenic antigens such as drugs at low concentrations.  NIM; application of fluorescence polarization to hapten-antibody reaction: do not confuse with FLUORESCENCE POLARIZATION, determ of polarization of fluorescent light; DF: FPIA    Other names Polarization Fluoroimmunoassay; Immunoassay, Fluorescence Polarization; Polarization Immunoassays, Fluorescence; Polarization Immunoassay, Fluorescence; Polarization Fluoroimmunoassays; Immunoassays, Fluorescence Polarization; Fluoroimmunoassays, Polarization; Fluoroimmunoassay, Polarization; Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassays
