Definition: A genus of Old World monkeys of the subfamily CERCOPITHECINAE, family CERCOPITHECIDAE, that inhabits the mountainous regions of Ethiopia. The genus consists of only one species, Theropithecus gelada.  Old World monkey; NIM when exper animal: no qualif; when IM, qualif permitted; diseases: coord IM with MONKEY DISEASES (IM)    Other names Theropithecus gelada; Gelada Baboon; Baboon, Gelada; Gelada; geladas, Theropithecus; gelada, Theropithecus; Theropithecus geladas; Gelada Baboons; Baboons, Gelada; Geladas
