Definition: A mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum, of the POLYPORALES order of basidiomycetous fungi. It has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine in various forms. Contains STEROLS; COUMARINS; MANNITOL; POLYSACCHARIDES; and triterpenoids.
