Definition: Inherited disorders of the peripheral nervous system associated with the deposition of AMYLOID in nerve tissue. The different clinical types based on symptoms correspond to the presence of a variety of mutations in several different proteins including transthyretin (PREALBUMIN); APOLIPOPROTEIN A-I; and GELSOLIN.      Other names Wohlwill Corino Andrade Syndrome; Wohlwill Andrade Syndrome; Syndromes, Neuropathic Amyloid; Syndrome, Wohlwill-Corino Andrade; Syndrome, Wohlwill-Andrade; Syndrome, Neuropathic Amyloid; Portuguese Polyneuritic Amyloidoses; Polyneuropathy, Familial Amyloid; Polyneuropathies, Familial Amyloid; Polyneuritic Amyloidoses, Portuguese; Neuropathy, Familial Amyloid; Neuropathies, Familial Amyloid; Neuropathic Amyloidosis, Hereditary; Neuropathic Amyloidoses, Hereditary; Neuropathic Amyloid Syndromes; Hereditary Neuropathic Amyloidoses; Familial Amyloid Polyneuropathy; Familial Amyloid Neuropathy; Familial Amyloid Neuropathies; Amyloidosis, Portuguese Polyneuritic
