alpha-L-Fucosidase

Definition: An enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of an alpha L-fucoside to yield an alcohol and L-fucose. Deficiency of this enzyme can cause FUCOSIDOSIS. EC 3.2.1.51.  /defic: consider also FUCOSIDOSIS
