Definition: The second longest bone of the skeleton. It is located on the medial side of the lower leg, articulating with the FIBULA laterally, the TALUS distally, and the FEMUR proximally.  /blood supply: consider also TIBIAL ARTERIES; /inj: consider also TIBIAL FRACTURES; avoid TIBIA /metab, TIBIA /chem, etc. when BONE AND BONES /metab, etc. is meant; tibia vara: index under TIBIA (IM) + BONE DISEASES, DEVELOPMENTAL (IM)    Other names Tibias
