Activated TRH receptors in the anterior pituitary stimulate the release of thyrotropin (thyroid stimulating hormone, TSH); TRH receptors on neurons mediate neurotransmission by TRH.  DF: RECEPT TRH    Other names Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone Receptors; Thyroliberin Receptors; TRH Receptors; Receptors, Thyroliberin; Receptors, TRH; Receptors, Protirelin; Protirelin Receptors; Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone Receptors; Receptors, Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone; Receptor, TRH; Receptor, Protirelin; Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor; TRH Receptor; Protirelin Receptor
