Fructosamine

Definition: An amino sugar formed when glucose non-enzymatically reacts with the N-terminal amino group of proteins. The fructose moiety is derived from glucose by the "classical" Amadori rearrangement.      Other names D Isoglucosamine; D-Isoglucosamine
