Coatomer Protein

Definition: A 700-kDa cytosolic protein complex consisting of seven equimolar subunits (alpha, beta, beta', gamma, delta, epsilon and zeta). COATOMER PROTEIN and ADP-RIBOSYLATION FACTOR 1 are principle components of COAT PROTEIN COMPLEX I and are involved in vesicle transport between the ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM and the GOLGI APPARATUS.      Other names zeta COP; epsilon-COP, Coatomer Subunit; beta COP; Protein, ARCN1; HEP COP; Coatomer Subunit epsilon COP; zeta-COP; p102 Protein (Golgi); epsilon-COP; delta-COP Protein; delta-COP; beta-COP; alpha-COP; Ret1 Protein; HEP-COP; Coatomer zeta Subunit; Coatomer gamma Subunit; Coatomer epsilon Subunit; Coatomer delta Subunit; Coatomer beta Subunit
