Definition: A family of structurally related collagens that form the characteristic collagen fibril bundles seen in CONNECTIVE TISSUE.  GEN; prefer specifics; do not confuse with FIBRIL-ASSOCIATED COLLAGENS or MICROFIBRIL COLLAGEN HEMOSTAT see COLLAGEN; precusors: coord IM with PROCOLLAGEN (IM)
