YY1 Transcription Factor

Definition: A ubiquitously expressed zinc finger-containing protein that acts both as a repressor and activator of transcription. It interacts with key regulatory proteins such as TATA-BINDING PROTEIN; TFIIB; and ADENOVIRUS E1A PROTEINS.      Other names Yin Yang 1 Protein; Transcription Factor, YY1; Transcription Factor, Delta; Nuclear Factor, NF-D; NF D Nuclear Factor; Yin-Yang-1 Protein; Nuclear Matrix Protein 1; NF-D Nuclear Factor; Delta Transcription Factor
