Prostaglandins H

Definition: A group of physiologically active prostaglandin endoperoxides. They are precursors in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. The most frequently encountered member of this group is the prostaglandin H2.  for analogs: coord with PROSTAGLANDIN ENDOPEROXIDES, SYNTHETIC if pertinant; /chem syn permitted: do not convert to PROSTAGLANDIN ENDOPEROXIDES, SYNTHETIC; PROSTAGLANDIN H2 is also available; DF: PGH
